From May to September welcoming evenings for guests take place according placarding at Hotel Alpenhof and Gasthof zur Post. The programme is accompanied by a Bavarian Stub'n-Musi. |

The tourist information office, represented by their head, Franz Haser, informs you about matters concerning your holidays. As well he presents a short colour slide show about Oberau and its surrounding sights. These evenings are interesting for regulars as well as for visitors who spend their holidays in Oberau for the first time. Free admission for holders of the visitor's card of course. |

Folklore evening |

The traditional costume organisation was already founded in 1921. Since then the Trachtler are endeavoured to preserve and maintain this tradition of our home. |

A good opportunity for that is our folklore evening. Without kitsch and show you can experience there a little of our tradition and our way of living. An extensive and colourful programme will surely prepare you some happy hours (reduced admission for holders of the visitor's card). |

Forest Festival |

If the weather is fine the traditional costume organisation invites you cordially to its forest festival in front of the Vereinsheim of the traditional costume organisation on Saturdays. Accompanied by performances of the Schuhplattler and youth groups you have the opportunity to dance on the beauty platform. |

With brass music, fresh draught litre of beer and grilling specialities you will experience a lovely evening, you never will forget (reduced admission for holders of the visitor's card).

Spa concerts |

The brass band Oberau under the leadership of Alex Kaufmann invites you cordially to the spa concerts in the music pavillon of the Kurpark on Fridays (from mid June to September). The band is not only known in Oberau but it is always well-known in its surroundings and offers an extensive programme of all kinds of music. | |

Grilling festivals and other events of the local organisations |

| The local organisations run grilling festivals on such Saturdays you can take from the calendar of events and the "current supplements" (they come out monthly from June to October and are available at the Tourist Information Office). Locals as well as our guests are cordially invited to take part. | ||

Rustic folklore theatre |

Wit, humour as well as some profoundness
characterise the programme of the theatre company of the
traditional costume organisation. Performances take part at the
Trachtenheim.
Visiting of one of the performances is a must, if you want to learn something about the Bavarian characteristics. |
